Manchester City is optimistic to see the green light for Kompany to play in Sunday’s home battle with West Ham United, provided is registered in time. Hughes would want him to play as soon as possible given the team’s injury problems. Whatever the chances may be, Hughes is surely glad to have acquired the highly-sought defender.
In 2006, the 22-year-old talent moved from Anderlecht to Hamburg. Rumours that he was planning a move to England have circulated since then.
